Editorial policy

Where the data comes from, how we correct it and what a brief may say.

Primary sources: Datasets come from the agency, the exchange or the issuer itself wherever the original is available, never from a third-party summary of it. Each hub page names its source, cadence, history and coverage.
Nothing invented: We publish what the source publishes. When a page shows a figure we calculate, like a net position or a year-over-year rate, it says so. An empty cell means the source didn't state a value; we'd rather show a gap than a guess.
Briefs from the data: Briefs are written from the hub's own series and name the dataset behind every figure.
Corrected in the open: When a brief is wrong or a dataset needs fixing, we correct it in place, history included, and note what changed in the changelog.
Known limits, stated: Some sources are partial by nature: a venue that doesn't publish every event, a fund that reports late, a filing that leaves a term blank. Each hub page says what its source covers.
The company byline: Work is published under the XOOMAR name, not a personal byline. The company stands behind every number, and every dataset page names its source.
Information, not advice: Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. The data is there to be checked, not followed.
