What this data is
Whale positions
Hyperliquid runs its order book on a public chain, so every account's open positions can be read directly from the exchange with no estimate in between. This page follows a group of large accounts and shows what they hold right now: the coin, the side, the size, the entry price, the leverage and the unrealized profit or loss.
The group is a sample of large accounts, not the whole exchange. Treat the aggregate as a read on a specific crowd of large traders, the way COT reads a category of futures traders.
Positions update every five minutes, and each coin's page shows the open positions in that coin with a daily long and short history. Size is the position's value in dollars at its entry price. Unrealized profit or loss is what the position would make or lose if it closed at the current price, and it becomes a real gain or loss only when the account closes it.

How to read it
- Net exposure across the tracked accounts per coin is the headline. Watch for the sign flipping, not the size wobbling.
- A large, highly levered position far from its entry shows where a forced close would begin.
- When the tracked accounts and funding point opposite ways, the two crowds are on different sides.
