XOOMAR

Economic calendar API

Free economic calendar API in JSON, no key

US release dates and times from the agencies' own schedules, with the actual figure after each print.

Copy, paste, run

Every example calls https://xoomar.com/api/markets/calendar?importance=high and prints each release with its time and, once it's out, the actual. No sign-up needed. 10 requests a minute per IP without a key and 30 a minute with a free account key, with at least six months of history.

curl

curl "https://xoomar.com/api/markets/calendar?importance=high"

Python

# pip install requests
import requests

r = requests.get(
    "https://xoomar.com/api/markets/calendar?importance=high",
    timeout=10,
)
r.raise_for_status()
for e in r.json()["data"]:
    print(e["scheduledAt"], e["eventName"], e["actual"])

JavaScript

const res = await fetch("https://xoomar.com/api/markets/calendar?importance=high");
if (!res.ok) throw new Error("HTTP " + res.status);
const { data } = await res.json();
for (const e of data) console.log(e.scheduledAt, e.eventName, e.actual);

Runs in a browser console, or in Node 18 or later saved as an .mjs file.

MT5 (MQL5 WebRequest)

void OnStart()
  {
   string url = "https://xoomar.com/api/markets/calendar?importance=high";
   string headers = "";
   char body[], result[];
   string resultHeaders;
   int status = WebRequest("GET", url, headers, 10000, body, result, resultHeaders);
   if(status == -1)
     {
      Print("WebRequest failed: ", GetLastError());
      return;
     }
   Print("HTTP ", status, " ", CharArrayToString(result, 0, WHOLE_ARRAY, CP_UTF8));
  }

Run it as a script. MetaTrader only calls sites you allow: Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" and add https://xoomar.com.

The next high-importance releases

Live from the calendar, times in UTC and US Eastern. The call above returns the high-importance releases from 7 days back to 30 days ahead, oldest first: the past week's with their actuals, then these.

  "importance": "high",
  "scheduledAt": "2026-10-22T12:30:00.000Z",

What you get

  • CPI, PPI, the jobs report, JOLTS, weekly jobless claims, PCE, GDP, retail sales, housing, durable goods, industrial production, trade, FOMC decisions and minutes, and more.
  • scheduledAt is the release time in UTC; periodLabel is the month, quarter or week the figure covers.
  • actual and previous fill in after the release, and unit says what they are (CPI year over year, retail sales month over month, claims in thousands). forecast is always null: no agency publishes a consensus.
  • Parameters: from and to as YYYY-MM-DD (without them, the last 7 days and the next 30) and importance as high, med or low. CSV at /api/markets/calendar/csv.

Where you show the figures, credit them as "Data: XOOMAR" with a link to xoomar.com, next to the agencies named in meta.sourceAttribution. The terms of use say the rest.

More on the calendar

For AI agents: the hosted MCP server at https://xoomar.com/mcp answers "which US releases are due this week?", and llms.txt opens on this API.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an API key for the economic calendar?
No. 10 requests a minute per IP without a key and 30 a minute with a free account key, with at least six months of history.
Where do the release dates come from?
From the agencies that publish the numbers: the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Census Bureau, the Federal Reserve and the Department of Labor, each from its own release schedule. When an agency moves a release, the new date shows up here.
When does the actual figure appear?
Usually within the hour of the release. The unit field says what the number is, so a CPI print reads as a year-over-year change and weekly claims as a level in thousands.
Is there a consensus forecast?
No. No agency publishes one, so the forecast field is always null. The previous print sits next to the actual instead.
Can MetaTrader 5 call it?
Yes. Add https://xoomar.com under Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", then run the MT5 script above; it prints the JSON to the Experts log.
