Economic calendar
The schedule comes straight from the agencies that publish the numbers: the BLS release calendars (CPI, PPI, the employment report, JOLTS, import prices, productivity, the employment cost index), BEA's schedule (GDP, personal income and outlays, trade), the Census Bureau's indicator calendar (retail sales, housing starts and permits, new home sales, durable goods, construction spending, inventories, factory orders), the Fed's FOMC, G.17 and Beige Book pages, the Treasury's auction schedule and the Thursday cadence of weekly jobless claims. Nothing is transcribed from a third-party calendar, so the dates and times are the ones that will actually print.
When a release lands, the actual appears next to it with its unit (percent change or level), and the previous value is the prior period on the same basis.

How to read it
- The surprise is the number: actual minus what was expected. There is no consensus column here, so compare the actual with the previous print and, for the Fed, with the policy-rate series.
- FOMC decisions are shown as the target range the Fed set, such as 3.75% to 4.00%. A move of 0.25 point is one step.
- The release time is the agency's own; if an actual is still empty an hour later, the agency's figure hasn't posted yet.
